*** Yes I still exist and fuck you to everyone who thought this site was over. I pay too much monthly to keep it up to just abandon it, and I've been a little busy finishing with school to update so fuck off, I'm back.

*** So Owning Mahowny is on video & DVD now.

*** So Along Came Polly hit the theaters not too long ago and may still be playing someplaces.

*** NO NEWS ON CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES. I WILL POST IT WHEN THERE IS NEWS WHICH THERE ISN'T SO STOP ASKING.

*** No set date yet on the release of Empire Falls beyond anticipation of it airing on HBO in 2005.

*** Capote is still in pre-production which means it has not yet been filmed and they don't have a release date set.

*** What's up with Phil's theater stuff? Good question. Someone should let me know so I can post it here since I'm not in New fucking York and I'm not a mind reader.

*** Check out the Misc. Pictures pages for pics of Phil with his kid, Cooper Alexander Hoffman.

*** The Last Party 2000 that was supposed to be widely released in 2001 is now being called The Party's Over and that's pretty much how I feel about this movie. Its moment of clearest relevance was over about 3 years ago. Oh well, I'm a cynic. Anyway, apparently it enjoyed a second limited release this past October and is STILL not available on the home video market.

*** The Philip Seymour Hoffman Fanlisting has changed addresses, if you are a member, update your links, if not, go join now. Even though I've never quite gotten the point of fanlistings myself, I encourage you to support this one for Phil's sake.

*** Apparently Phil taught a class at at Columbia's Graduate Film School on Directing.  I hear tell he had 8 people in his class. I assume that this was for last semester or quarter. Was anyone in this class or did you know anyone in it? It was purportedly a big secret so I can't disclose my source on this one, and I won't tell you told me if YOU tell me too.

*** By the way, just a friendly reminder, I have no special contact with Phil. Occassionally I am in contact with one of his sisters but I'm hardly going to send on a long review of one of his films to him through his sister so please don't ask me to send him messages. There is a fan mail address listed in about ten places on this site for you to send all of your messages yourself.

*** Do you make Phil fanart? Desktop Wallpapers? AIM icons? Livejournal icons? Want them posted on this site? Please email them to me or email me with a URL where I can download them for uploading on my account. Thanks! Also, want to write reviews of Phil's movies or theater projects and have them published on my site, uncensored? Please email them to me and let me know if you want your email address posted there also.

*** Phil will be appearing in HBO's production of Empire Falls which is filming right now and does not have a release date yet, beyond the fact that it will be released next year sometime (hopefully).

*** The title announced for The Untitled John Hamburg Project which was also known as Captured and apparently sometime in the interim was called Risk, is now... Along Came Polly. Let's see how many more times they change it before the release date gets pushed back.

*** Over the past month, LAByrinth has been having some fun events like Celebrity Charades and giving awards to Madonna. Huzzah for people with money in New York. Have fun. (It's my website, I'm allowed to be a bitter, poor west-coaster)

*** Happy Birthday yesterday to Phil! Happy 36th! And many happy returns. And... all... that... jaaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

*** According to various sources, there is to be a film called Capote, a screen biography of prolific writer Truman Capote and it is to star Philip Seymour Hoffman from a script adapted by Dan Futterman from Gerald Clarke's book. Thanks to Nancy for this update. In fact, thank you to Nancy for a LOT of updates and links and stuff.

*** Further news on Phil and Mimi's son indicates that his middle name is Alexander. So he is Cooper Alexander. More details to come if there are any to be had.

*** Long Day's Journey Into Night is playing on Broadway in the Plymouth Theatre, 236 West 45th Street, until 31 August, 2003

*** As of May 27 Love Liza is available for rent and purchase on video and DVD. In the U.S. at any rate.
